Auto Detailer Job in Watkins Glen, NY

Responsible for timely and professional auto detailing services on a variety of vehicle sizes and types Position hours are flexible and based on the needs of the business. Seneca Shine is open Monday through Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM and all hours worked are during normal business hours. Peak detailing season is April through September and off-peak season is October through March with hours and shifts scheduled based on the number of appointments each week.


High School Diploma/Equivalent, college, or vocational degree preferred, but not required depending on student status. Highschool students are welcome to apply.

NYS driver’s license preferred, but not required.

Must be physically capable to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis. Able to talk, hear, stand, sit, lift, bend, stoop, maneuver, and frequently required to use hands and fingers on a regular basis.

Must be able to tolerate the stresses associated with multiple, simultaneous demands.

Ability to work individually and as a team to detail vehicles.


Detail a variety of vehicles inside and out

Complete quality control checks before and after cleaning a vehicle.

Ensure schedules are followed and customers’ vehicles are cleaned and inspected in a timely manner. Communicate with supervisor about any delays that might occur to prevent a timely pick up.

Ensure customer lobby, laundry room, and bathroom are clean and presentable to public.

Ability to comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration and other regulatory agencies’ procedures and guidelines. Ensure equipment and cleaning materials are used safely. Report any safety concerns to your supervisor immediately.

Help out with other crews in other work areas as assigned.

Work alongside crew members to get jobs done in a timely manner.

Attend required training sessions and meetings.
